SEED changed my life. In 2005, as a young white teacher, I showed up to SEED 19 which rocked my world — prompting deep exploration of myself and my race, ethnicity, nationality, language, gender, sexual identity, class, and ability. I loved co-facilitating SEED for the 15 years years when I was a teacher in Deerfield, IL. Joining the National SEED staff deepened my learning and expanded my collective of people creating more just relationships and more just systems.

SEED cultivates, nurtures, and honors stories. I bring my stories from Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Chicago. I bring my name stories from Carol, the Casnes, the Chinns, the Walkers and the Saxmans. I bring my stories from the home, the classroom, and facilitation for Courageous Conversations and myself. I am humbled and full of gratitude to be part of the SEED story.
